You can not pay a visit to Paris without taking a pictures with the Eiffel Tower. We’ve summed up our favorite places to capture this amazing iconic monument, including the exact location and when it’s the best time to visit.
Interesting fact: Did you know that the Eiffel Tower is not the most visited attraction? Contrary to popular belief, the Eiffel Tower is only ranked fourth among the most visited attractions in Paris. The Notre Dame is the most visited (before the fire), Sacré-Coeur Basilica is ranked second, followed by the Louvre Museum in third place.
1. Avenue de Camoens

The beautiful balustrade and these classic lampposts in Rue de Camoens make this beautiful background view of the Eiffel Tower complete.
When to visit: Normally this place doesn’t get too crowded, so you can visit almost the whole day. You only have to keep in mind the position of the sun depending on what kind of vibe you want your picture to have.

2. Port Debilly

At Port Debilly you can walk along the river Seine with a beautiful view on the Tower.
When to visit: Normally this place doesn’t get crowded, so you can visit the whole day.

3. Restaurant Au Canon des Invalides
- 48° 51' N, 2° 18' E
When you cross the zebra crossing at this restaurant,
you can see the Eiffel Tower appearing between the buildings in the distance.
When to visit: This place is a lesser known viewpoint among tourists, so it doesn’t get crowded either. You can visit the whole day.

4. Rue de l'Université

This is probably the most famous street to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower, but we can see why.
When to visit: As this is such a famous place it can get really crowded, so we recommend you going there at sunrise.

5. Pont d'Alexandre III
- 48° 51′ N, 2° 18′ E
One of the prettiest bridges in Paris is Pont d’Alexandre III. The bridge is beautifully decorated and is therefore also a wonderful place for a photo, with or without the Eiffel tower in the background.
When to visit: There’s plenty of space at this bridge to take a shot, so there’s not a specific moment you should to go. Although we heard it’s the most beautiful at sunset.

When to visit: It’s a very popular accommodation in Paris, so make sure you book your stay in time.

8. Champs de Mars

Not only for a beautiful picture but also to enjoy a beautiful walk Champs de Mars is the place to be.
When to visit: It can get really crowded on the grass in front of the Eiffel tower, but you can avoid the crowds by walking through the little paths of the park, or by coming early in the morning if you want a frontal shot.

9. Pont de Bir-Hakeim

This is a beautiful place to catch the sunrise. The bridge provides a nice framing for your shot.
When to visit: This is not a crowded place, but it’s most beautiful at sunrise.
